7-Eleven is Australia’s first choice in convenience and its largest independent fuel retailer.

A proudly Australian owned family business, 7-Eleven Australia has been at the forefront of convenience retailing since we opened our first store in 1977.

Our team supports a network of more than 670 stores.

Our stores are part of the everyday routine of millions of Australians, helping them to get the most out of their day. Whether it’s an early morning coffee, a lunchtime sandwich, dinner on the go, or a snack throughout the day, we are proud to serve Australians around 190 million times a year.

About the Grad Program

People are the key to the continual growth and transformation of 7-Eleven. Developing and recognising great people is really important to the ongoing success of our business.

Our 7-Eleven Graduates are part of a two-year program that helps them to build a strong foundation for an exciting career. Whether you’ve studied business, commerce, marketing, information technology, innovation, human resources, construction, product development or something else, our diverse business means there are lots of different ways to contribute to our team.

We accept a small number of graduates each year so that we can provide great support to you as you start your career journey.

How it works:

You get day to day support, exposure to senior leadership, structured development and one of our leaders will be your career coach. Your career coach will mentor and assist you as you learn and grow with 7-Eleven.

You’ll rotate through four areas throughout the business, spending six months in each. The first rotation is always spent in our Retail Operations team, learning our business from the storefront. Understanding how stores work helps position you to hit the ground running as you then become a part of the support office team. At the end of each rotation, you have the chance to present to our senior leadership team on your experience.

During the program, you will have the chance to learn and challenge yourself with interesting projects and responsibilities. Whether you are managing a district of stores, assisting to develop a new product, leading the new marketing campaign or supporting the implementation of a major project – you will help shape our future!

This two-year program builds a foundation of skills and knowledge that set you up for success in your career and enable a smooth transition from the Graduate Program into your next role in the 7-Eleven team.

Location

Our corporate offices are in Mount Waverley, Melbourne, and we have state offices in NSW, QLD and WA.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • Variety of departments and breadth of learning opportunities.
  • Culture.
  • The company places a lot of focus on improvement - they're never complacent where they are. This means that although they have to maintain certain standards in some areas, they continually try to innovate and be creative in other areas.
  • The size of the company is great. It's not small but not too big either so that there is a familiar feel to it and you can get insights into many different areas.
  • The people and the culture.
  • Outdated systems.
  • Some in-house processes and technologies aren't up to speed with how quickly the company is trying to innovate which makes it difficult sometimes. Communication across departments and to all staff isn't always the best either.
  • The office in Mount Waverley is not easily accessible by public transport.
  • The exposure to food! Our canteen is basically a 7-Eleven store with free Slurpee. If you don't have the self control, you can expect weight gain (around 7 - 11 kgs).
