What you'll do

  • Provide assistance to the ASX legal team in relation to a range of commercial and compliance related matters, including: Research and drafting advices in relation to:
    • the operating rules of the ASX Group
    • Corporations Act
    • contract law
    • general commercial and trade practices law
  • Drafting and reviewing standard form agreements, such as copyright permission requests and confidentiality agreements
  • Co-ordination of requests for information, witness statements, affidavits, subpoenas, notices to produce and regulator notices and requests
  • File management and management of registers (including trademarks, subpoenas, contracts)
  • Participant in strategic and efficiency projects within the legal and regulatory teams
  • The successful candidate will be required to work between 15-20 hours per week during university semesters and ideally has the flexibility to work more hours during holiday periods.

What you've done

  • To be successful in this role you will possess a minimum of 3 years of study of a law degree. Ideally, candidates will be heading into their penultimate or final year of a law degree. Candidates will also be able to demonstrate the legal learning skills, communication competencies and professionalism required of the role.
