Sustainability

We are committed to doing all we can to improve environmental sustainability. Since 2015, our Auckland office has had Environmental Certification with Toitu Envirocare, meaning we undertake an annual audit to monitor and reduce our emissions.

All our firms are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment by diminishing waste and making conscious choices when it comes to our offices and supplies.

Volunteering

Our teams are active members of their local communities, and our offices give time and money to their preferred causes. Each office is actively encouraged to form great relationships with their local community. Every year our teams take part in Pink Ribbon Day, Movember and many other initiatives, raising thousands of dollars for worthwhile causes.

We contribute positively to those in need through investment in community projects and initiatives. In addition to financial support and fundraising, our people donate goods and services, and volunteer time and labour to not-for-profit and community-run organisations. Our global network, Baker Tilly International, also participates in many purpose projects.

If you join our Auckland office, for example, you will have an annual paid volunteer day to give back to the community and help an organisation of your choice.

Flexible working

At Baker Tilly Staples Rodway we provide flexible work hours to accommodate staff needs and family responsibilities. Flexible work arrangements allow our people to excel in their endeavours and create a lifestyle that works for them.

Our Auckland-based BAS Intermediate Hazel Ouwehand represented New Zealand in the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Flexible working allows her to keep up with her passions and goals, alongside developing her accounting skills in professional services.
