The Siam Makro story

Makro has been listed publicly in Thailand since 1988 under the name Siam Makro Public Company Limited. Simply known as Makro, the company expanded through the years opening up member-based wholesale centres and food service facilities across the country. In 2013, Siam Makro was acquired by Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Group for USD 6.6 billion. Today, Siam Makro has 77 stores in operation serving around 2.6 million customers daily. 

The recruitment process

Professionals who wish to work for Siam Makro can send their personal information as well as their updated CVs to the company's website, through online job boards, or directly to one of the company's HR offices. 

The company picks candidates from the pool of online and walk-in applicants and calls them back for an interview. During the interview, applicants will be asked about their personal information, professional background, and will be given time to speak about their achievements. Applicants with the most relevant achievements and experience are more likely to be chosen by management and will be called back to schedule a job offer meeting. 

Online applications may take two weeks while the recruitment process for walk-in applicants may take less than a week.
